Ice still lurks along back roads

Every morning, Anne McEwan runs along Craig’s Store Road. Recently, that’s been an icy proposition. On Tuesday, for example, the road still had long, icy ridges running much of its length, and some stretches were entirely crusted with compacted snow and ice that plows missed.

Court of Appeals Upholds Anthony Crawford’s Murder Conviction

The conviction will stand against a man accused of killing his estranged wife and dumping her body in a Charlottesville hotel room. This week, the Court of Appeals of Virginia upheld Crawford’s original conviction.
