22-Year-Old Goes from Miss Va. to Miss America

Caressa Cameron, a student at Virginia Commonwealth University, was named Miss America Saturday night in Las Vegas. The last time Miss America hailed from Virginia was 1999.

Nelson County and Greene County Schools will be closed Monday with icy and snow-packed roads forcing educators into the decision.

Power Outage at Cavalier Inn Leaves Guests in the Dark

A power outage at the Cavalier Inn left guests without lights or heat Saturday night. According to Dominion, a snow plow had pushed a pile of snow onto the hotel’s transformers, cutting off the Inn’s electricity.
